Document the Reel Moments in Life.
Hi, my name is Alexandra Hsun. I'm a 10-year-old girl from New Jersey, and I love taking pictures! I take lots of photos with my iPad, which was really easy and fun. My dad always reminded me how important it is to capture memories because time keeps moving forward and we can't live the same moment twice. He encouraged me to take lots of pictures to make our special moments last forever.
As I got older, my dad started letting me play with his fancy cameras. The more I used them, the more I fell in love with the feeling of setting the aperture, shutter speed, and focus all by myself. It's such a great feeling when a photo turns out just right, and I noticed that the photos taken with a camera look more artistic than the ones I took with my iPad!
Seeing how much I enjoyed "real" photography, my dad surprised me with an amazing gift – a Nikon F3HP film camera! He told me that this camera was a flagship model and really popular with professional photographers back in the day. Now, I'm learning all about film photography, and I'm excited to share my journey with you here on Reel Moments.
On this blog, I'll be posting the photos I take along with the stories behind them. I'll also share my experiences as I learn more about photography and experiment with different films, both in color and black & white.
I hope my Reel Moments blog inspires other kids like me to explore the world of photography and create their own special memories. Let's learn and grow together as we capture the beauty of the world around us, one reel moment at a time!
